If you think you have an emergency medical condition, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
When you are sick or injured, you may have an urgent care need. An urgent care need is one that requires prompt medical attention, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Urgent care situations include minor injuries, sore throats and upper respiratory symptoms, earaches, coughs, backaches, and frequent urination or burning sensations when urinating.
If you are not sure what type of care you need, call your primary care physician's office. For advice, call one of the advice numbers listed below, or see the Medicine or Pediatrics Department at the Kaiser Permanente facility that is most convenient for you.
