Volunteer Services

Did you have a positive medical center experience AND are you willing to share time with others? You may want to consider volunteering at Richmond Medical Center!

The Volunteer Services program is looking for exceptionally dynamic individuals to serve as members of the Volunteer Services team! Positions in the Gift Shop, the Pediatric Department, and as terrific Information Desk volunteers are available immediately. Volunteer Services hosts both an adult and student volunteer program.

All adult candidates must successfully complete a background check in order to qualify for the Volunteer Services program. Return completed applications, preferably by mail. Students, ages 14 years and older AND high school eligible, are encouraged to join!

Volunteers serve flexible schedules between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., usually in three- to four-hour increments, at least one time per week. Student volunteers are required to serve 156 hours in their first year--this translates into one three- or four-hour shift per week only! On average, students contribute about 200 volunteer hours in their time spent volunteering at the medical center.
